Where are we located?
True Love is docked at the Village Pier in the Village of Watkins Glen.
From the North (Rt. 14 S) -If heading South on Rt. 14, turn left onto 1st Street, then another left onto N. Decatour St. Follow Decatour St. until you reach the Marina, make another left into where parking is available for the duration of your excursion.
From the North (Rt. 414 S)- If heading South on Rt. 414. turn right onto N. Decatour St. (2nd stoplight). Follow Decatour St. until you reach the Marina, make another left into the parking lot where parking is available for the duration of you excursion.
From The South (Rt. 14 N)- If heading North on Rt. 14, turn right onto 4th St., then make a left onto N. Decatour St. Follow Decatour St. until you reach the Marina, make another left where parking is available for the duration of your excursion.
How long is your sail?
True Love sails for 1 Ĺ to 2 hours, depending on the type of charter. Additional time is available for private charters.
Is there food on the boat?
Hors' dourves are served on the evening sunset sail. Catering is available for private charters.
Are passengers allowed to bring alcohol on board the boat?
No, passengers are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages on board True Love; beverages are available for purchase on board.
Is there a bathroom onboard?
Yes, there is head/restroom located in the cabin.
Do we hoist the sails on every trip?
Weather permitting we raise up to 4 sails on every trip, the mainsail, foresail, staysail and jib.
How many people will be on the Schooner?
True Love is licensed to carry up to 23 passengers, we limit it to a maximum of 22 so we have an extra crew for better service. This is to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable ride for our guests.
Where will we sit?
There are several relaxing and comfortable seating areas aboard True Love. The cockpit seats up to 6 people on cushioned seats and the cabin top seats up to 16 people.
What happens if it rains or there is bad weather the day of sail?
Sails may be canceled due to bad weather. We will sail in light rain or moderate weather conditions, but may cancel a sail up to an hour before the departure time in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. Cancelations may be made at a momentís notice at the discretion of the Captain. If your sail is canceled due to inclement weather, ticket holders will have the option to reschedule tickets (subject to availability) or receive a credit for a future sail.
What if it rains while we are out on the boat?
If it begins to rain while we are out on a sail, passengers are invited to go below deck to get out of the rain or use ponchos that we provide. If we return to the dock within 45 minutes of our original departure time, passengers may reschedule their sail for another time.
What do we need to bring or wear?
You should always check the weather before you come sailing and always dress appropriate to the weather. Please bring a hat, sunglasses and wear sunscreen if you like. It is always a good idea to bring a windbreaker or a fleece. Soft soled shoes are required, high heels, unfortunately, are not permitted.
What types of payment to do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, & Discover for advanced ticket purchases. Cash ticket purchase may be made on the day of sail but is SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. Sails may often sell out in advance. We highly encourage advanced ticket purchase through our representative to be sure we will be able to accommodate your group on your selected date and time of sail. We require a deposit from your credit card to hold your reservation. Any customer cancelations must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled sail, your credit card will be charged for cancellations not complying with this policy. For full boat charters or parties larger than 10 people there is a 72 hour cancellation notice.
